Many of us are careful when it comes to deleting files from our computer. Those who are still new to computers and have worked hard on their precious documents are very careful before they hit the 'Delete' button. When the Windows message pops up asking them if they are sure about whether they would like to delete this file, they check and double check to make sure that they do not need the file any more and that it is safe to delete the file. Nevertheless, there are times when despite these precautions, an important file gets deleted. There is no need to panic ' just visit the Recycle Bin and follow these easy steps to undelete NTFS files.
When you delete a file, it is usually moved to the Recycle Bin folder. If you have merely deleted the file then you should be able to find it in the Recycle Bin. Select the file, click the right mouse-button and amongst the options shown, select 'Restore File'. Your file will be back in its original location. This function is one of the easiest ways in which you can restore your deleted files.
Most experienced computer users are aware of this facility and hence are not very careful about deleting files knowing fully well that they can always retrieve them from the Recycle Bin. However, at some point of time, the Recycle Bin has to be emptied to make room on the hard disk. At this point, we normally pause and make sure that we do not need any of the files that are contained in the Recycle Bin before emptying it out. But what do you do if you realize to your great horror a few days later that you had not only accidentally deleted some important data files but had also emptied it out from the Recycle Bin? How do you undelete NTFS files that have been removed even from the Recycle Bin?
The solution is simple though not many are aware of it ' you can use a recovery tool such as Advanced NTFS Undelete to search for the files that you had accidentally deleted and then restore it in the matter of minutes. This neat utility is highly versatile ' it supports nearly all versions of the NTFS format and can search through hard disk data for 70 different file types ' and yet at the same time, very easy to use. Advanced NTFS Undelete uses a wizard interface ' this guides the user through the process in a step-by-manner so that an effective search can be carried out on all the deleted files and the required files located quickly. Once the files have been located, it is a matter of a few clicks and the undelete NTFS process places the file back in its original location ready for you to work with it.
